Season is off to a great start
The Lady Pirates are off to a wonderful start! We've had 2 tournaments so far and the ladies are off to a wonderful start!! The ladies attended albany girls Tournament and took 3rd place as a tam with 2 champions, one 2nd place and one 3rd place athletes! The girls did great!
On Friday the 13th the lady pirates took a trip to Sunnyvale to wrestle and we took on some competition that we've never seen before! So that was extremely exciting. Webber Lawson Tournament is a traditionally tough tournament. The Lady Pirates took 13th out of 59 teams. We had a 3rd place athlete - a 4th Place athlete and a 5th Place athlete.
Next up we have Dennis Solis Tournament on December 21st!

The Lady Pirates Wrestling are working the City of Pittsburg Car Shows to raise money for this upcoming season! These are great events to come down to! The music is always great, the community always shows up and what better way to end your thursday evenings with beautiful classic cars??

The Pittsburg Lady Pirates took 2nd place as a team at the North Coast Section Championships! This is the team first banner since 2016.

The Pittsburg Lady Pirates also had 5 Medalist from the North Coast Section with 3 athletes who qualified for the State Championship in Bakersfield

Boosting team morale and unity is crucial, and having a matching warm-up can definitely enhance our team's dynamic. We've already secured the design for our new warm-ups, and now we're focused on raising the necessary funds to make them a reality.

Our team is gearing up for a competitive season of tournaments, culminating in the February League Championships, Regionals, and State tournaments. To make a strong showing, we need funding to enter as many tournaments as possible. Your support will enable us to participate in these events, showcase our team's skills, and proudly represent Pittsburg!
Post Season Competition
High School Post Season Wrestling
When High School Wrestling ends, our girls have amazing opportunities to participate in Freestyle Wresting and Greco Roman Style Wrestling.
Freestyle Wrestling is the style that Women compete in for College and Olympics.
During post season is when athletes have the ability to earn national acknowledgement.
Our Wrestler Jax will be representing our Mt. Diablo Association with the dual team in Fresno in May 2024
She will also be representing our state in a National Dual Team tournament in Tusla, OK.
Emma (9th) placed 5th in the state tournament in FREESTYLE with Cadet Age group
Bre (11th) place 7th in th state tournament in FREESTYLE with Juniors Age Group
Jax (11th) placed 5th in the state tournament in FREESTYLE with Juniors Age Group

Mt. Diablo Wrestling Association consist of school from Liberty in Brentwood, all the way to James Logan in Union City and Castro Valley School!
